"Thomas Tyler operates in the exciting hinterlands between harsh noise industrial skree and free improvised fluxus fuckaboutery. Kicking the former out of its well trod rut and correcting the latter’s posture, Deadstock Encyclopedia acts as a whistle-stop tour through the toolbox and delivers a greatest hits of brand new hits.
Dictaphone twitch, harsh noise rubble, guitar jank and a full spectrum of vocalisations happily co-exist and unite into oddly gothic and humorous adventures in sound, though the whole thing totalises into an oddly melancholic and moving form. From the opening pseudo string quartet of “Time Still With You My Friend”, to the erratic tonal jabs of ‘French Mist’—it feels like more ‘music’ is slipping in to TT’s palate, acting only to emphasise the mastery of his noise in contrast.
For anyone lucky enough to have been following TT’s various works with Plastiglomerate, Labas Krabas, Pastoral Abuse (and so on) this feels like a real statement of intent. Have at it!"

It's quite "gentle" in some ways, but that inimitable Gobbing style never lets you forget where you are. I haven't identified a "favourite" track yet, and possibly never will. ghostdog801
